Not So Far From Around Us

Audio narratives and films exploring everyday life with a twist: either turning mundane observations into art-films, or imagining how normal things would take place in parallel, fantastical, worlds:

A video about a corner projected into a corner, an audio-story about the family dinner table listened around the dinner table, a film about hand sanitiser at the entry of the exhibition, a film about vertigo made to make you dizzy by looking through a magnifying lens…The collection of films and audio-narratives create an immersive space for observations on the ubiquity of actions and objects in our lives, shedding light on the points of view and creative restrictions of the creators.

All showcased work was made during the modules Scripted Design and Parallel Worlds led by Ollie Palmer during the 2020-2021 academic year.
