A book (currently in writing) exploring where and how we use names of animals in non-animal settings (piggy banks, butterfly bandages, monkey fists, cat eyes, hot dogs, crocodile clips). Unexpected (which turn out were completely expected) similarities found by humans are put to the test to check our accountability of building connections and methods of naming things,. Exploring the realm of non-animal animals, we can find in our everyday objects, actions (catfishing, squirrel away), and behaviours (copycat, lonewolf, lion hearted).

Radio Hour Special about the history of the podcast voice. I didn’t grow up listening to NPR, and I am not from the US. So it is very hard to pinpoint why I find this SNL sketch funny, particularly how do I somewhat recognise some tropes going on with how they use their voice? Combine this with the changing pitch of podcast hosts while they get comfortable with the mic throughout seasons, and this delicious history of radio-ads made by Clive Desmond. Let’s make one comprehensive radio-hour special about the history of the podcast voice. (is it too obvious that I am also looking for my own podcast voice?)

Make a rug sing. Code that uses the process of slitscanning to make and/or translate surfaces of rugs and other motifs into music. Idea came during a dream, where my subconscious combined the 99pi episode about the optophone with Vera van der Seyp’s hacked knitting machines. Hey, maybe we collab:)

New designs for the waiting room. The waiting room has been waiting long enough for a revamp of what people can do inside of it. But no rush, it will wait some more if its time hasn’t come yet.

Make a series of socks with rug patterns. So that you always have a rug under your feet. You too, could be fancy like Aziz.
